Meet the Core Collective
Welcome to the part of our page where you can meet the group responsible for the smooth workings of the coop. Or maybe you are here to find out who is to blame for that annoying flyer you see (hopefully) all over campus. This part of the page has a little bit of background on each of our members as well as their tasks and specialties in the coop. Also here is information on how to become a Core Collective member.
The Core Collective is a twelve member group of owners and operators of the Kresge Food Coop. We are all full time students in addition to our work at the coop. Each member of the core is responsible for a different part of the running the coop and this responsibility changes hands on a quartery basis. Each core member is also responsible for at least one, four hour shift per week and attendance is required for our weekly meetings where we establish policy and make descisions.
We Hire New Members by consesus of the entire core. We hold a group hiring where we play group games and then we conduct an interview of each applicant.
